Comparative Analysis of Poetical Texts with Digital Tools

This research project is connected to an ambitious initiative led by numerous European scholars to facilitate the comparison of European poetic traditions. Following the completion of POSTDATA’s ontology of European poetry, based on the Linked Open Data model, the current objective focuses on developing a new model for interlinking databases that share only a limited number of specific common patterns. Collaboration with local specialists supports the achievement of interoperability among several tools originally designed for different corpora and according to varying scientific standards.

A key focus of the project is the development of a new morpho-syntactic analyzer designed to support the analysis of early modern Hungarian poetry. This effort forms part of ongoing research focused on creating a new version of the Répertoire de la poésie hongroise ancienne, structured as a full-text database. A comparative study of Early Modern Hungarian and Czech poetic forms using digital tools is also underway.
